Hi, I’m Amanda Wright. I’ve been in South West Missouri my whole life. I have always practiced art but didn’t learn to paint until my parents enrolled me in a painting class at our local recreation center when I was 12 years old. At that art center, I was taught how to use acrylic paint, and have loved it ever since. When out in nature, whether it be on a hike or out fishing, I see things as a painted portrait. I think about what colors I would need to mix to make the color of that flower, or what brush stroke I would have to use to paint the hair on a calf. Paint has definitely been an amazing way to connect with nature and with people. It is such a blessing to share with others.

My show “As I See It” is currently on display from now until late September at Club 609 in Joplin, Missouri. I would love for you to come by and check it out! If you see something you like and want to purchase a piece, or if you want to talk about hiring me to create a new piece for you, feel free to call or text me at (417) 592-1227.
